Free and discounted access to parks, hunting and fishing licenses, and veteran specialty license plates across Texas and the nation.
Free passes for veterans, active duty service members, Gold Star Families, and individuals with permanent disabilities. Covers entrance and day-use fees at over 2,000 federal recreation areas including national parks, wildlife refuges, and forests. Veterans and Gold Star Families receive a free lifetime pass; active duty members and dependents receive a free annual pass.
Free entry to all Texas State Parks through TPWD Parklands Passports. Available for honorably discharged veterans, active duty service members, disabled veterans (60%+ service-connected rating get a companion pass), and Gold Star Families. Obtain any passport at a Texas State Park with valid ID and military documentation.
Texas Hunting & Fishing
Available free of charge to veterans with a VA service-connected disability rating of 50% or more. The package includes a resident hunting license, all game bird stamps, resident fishing license, freshwater and saltwater stamps, and all applicable tags. Must be purchased in person with VA proof of disability.
